Fernandina Beach Main Street is proud to announce the check presentation of a $10,000 Façade Improvement Grant to Heidi’s Coffee and Cream, the winner of the Fall 2024 Façade Grant cycle, recognizing their investment in preserving and enhancing the façade of their building located at 531 S. 8th Street.

The check presentation took place on Thursday with Fernandina Beach Main Street Board Secretary Paul Moerman; business owners Dan and Heidi Taylor; Treasurer Christie Walsh-Myers; Board Chair Jose Miranda; and Executive Director LuLu Huppmann.

The Façade Improvement Grant Program, administered by Fernandina Beach Main Street, provides financial support to property and business owners in the downtown historic district who are investing in street facing improvements. Grants are awarded through an application process and are designed to encourage projects that preserve historic character, enhance curb appeal, and contribute to the vitality of downtown.

“We are thrilled to recognize this investment in our community and look forward to celebrating their opening this summer as they become part of the Fernandina Beach Downtown Main Street District” said LuLu Huppmann, Executive Director of Fernandina Beach Main Street.

Since its inception, the program has assisted numerous property owners in revitalizing storefronts and protecting the architectural heritage that makes Fernandina Beach unique.
